NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs

Stanley Cup – Eastern Conference Finals

And all of a sudden we have a series!

The Montreal Canadiens didn’t seems very interested in Philly the first two games, but they totally came out during game 3! They beat the previously imperious Philadelphia Flyers 5-1.

Although they still trail 2-1 in the series with Game 4 set for Saturday afternoon, this just shows how quickly series – and momentum – can shift

“It was an old-fashioned ass-kicking,” Philadelphia captain Mike Richards said. “I don’t know if we thought we could throw our sticks on the ice and it was going to be easy. Give them credit. They played hard. They were all over the ice. They won every puck battle. Obviously, it shows by the score.”

Before reaching the half point of the first period, the Canadiens scored their first goal of the series and also took their first lead. It was Cammalleri’s league-best 13th of the postseason. “The puck jumped out from me,” Cammalleri said. “Good poise by the point men, and good battles in front by my linemates and the puck just popped out to me.”

The Canadiens apparently found their urgency button. On Saturday, the series will create even more drama as we will find out if the Canadiens have found their swagger.
